Making use of my 3D printer

I recently purchased some 2-inch square cards for use as both earring cards and package enclosures for non-earring items. It got them from gotprint.com and I chose that site because they are the only company I found offering 2-inch square cards. (Many firms offer 2.5″ cards.) They look nice and shiny in real life, but for some reason, that doesn’t show up in this photo. 🙂

I’m too frugal to want to pay for pre-punched earring cards. I did find 2-hole earring card hole punchers, but I already own a 1/8″ hole puncher and I didn’t know if the pre-made punchers would put the holes where I wanted them. So, since I have a 3D printer, I made myself a jig that would allow accurate positioning of the hole punch.

Here’s the resulting card after the punching, along with earrings. So now, I can easily make earring cards!
